About this Course

Projects are being used more often in the public and private sectors to create value in a variety of ways. Numerous industries conduct projects; others, like the software and construction sectors, rely nearly exclusively on them. There is no such thing as a "typical" project; they can involve anything from planning events to putting in new IT systems, establishing new policies or procedures, moving offices, starting new branches, managing disasters, launching new goods or services, starting marketing campaigns, or even competing for large client contracts. Occasionally, consulting might also take the shape of a project.
